Watched movie "Closer". Thought i've seen it b4, but most of the movie details were new to me. Yet there was a strong sense of familiarity. Eerie feeling. Am i losing my memory? My mind?

heh. one thing i can think of is that i saw it when i was drunk. then again i don't usually think of watching movies when i've been drinking. so, back to square one.

I remember liking the film but don't have much if any clue about the plot/story. I guess I should rent it again for the feel god moments. And Natalie Portman. Mainly Natalie. Ok, you can pour the hot grits now ... :P

Yeah but does Clive Owen convey the film or does the film convey him?

Clive Owen was great but it didn't make me like him more or less than I already did. I actually watched it for Jude Law but ended up being attracted by Natalie Portman :D Hmm, no love for Julia?

Clive Owen was also great in Children of Men, a highly recommended dystopy in the style of Clockwork Orange meets 28 Days Later with more than a dash of style from a decade of first-person-shooter games.

And a younger Jude Law would definitely be the man for whom I would turn gay for a day (re: Gattaca). :D

Gattaca was awesome.. along the same lines, I really enjoyed Equilibrium as well (if you haven't seen either, you're missing out).

Have to watch Gattaca, Ethan was great in the Great Expectations and Snow Falling on Cedars. And I'd say that Closer is all about Natalie.. If only for the scene of her walking in the street and Damian Rice's Blowers Daughter playing..

Yeah, didn't mention Ethan but generally I found both boys pretty sensual at the time of Gattaca. Uma Thurman, too, of course, but the Bride killed the sensual image of her in my mind -- with a Hattori Hanzo, may I add. :P

Rented Closer tonight ti check Natalie out (not sure if I'm gonna watch the whole film cos I intend to go to Helsinki film festival tomorrow, and my plasma tv is all but bust anyway [horrible colors]).

@aksyn: thanks for the recommendation! Equilibrium is a great movie. Christian Bale shone a lot more in it than The Dark Knight. @inga: yes! i have the Gattaca DVD if you like...
