thanks you guys! my grandma is in quite stable condition after surgery, and my friend should be ok since he was able to IM me and even joke a bit (probably his ego wounded more than anything else? :P)

Unfortunate incidences. I also wish you loved ones a speedy recovery. I don't have any grandparent's left since more than ten years when my maternal grandfather was knocked by a car and hit his head. But he had lived a long and fruitful life.

heading to the hospital because he fell down and broke his face (messed up his teeth, face, glasses, etc... sounds serious).
